Description

Supply and installation of network cabling in East and South Ayrshire Council areas. 1.1 To supplement the extensive voice and data wide area network infrastructure throughout East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council, there is an ongoing requirement to provide and maintain additional network and voice cabling within a number of new and existing Council properties. This also includes the replacement of legacy network cabling with a structured and more versatile solution. 1.2 Due to the nature of the work, the tenderer shall provide rates for each aspect of the work; this will include the provision of private ducts containing multi-core fibre and copper cable and installation of internal grade data cabling. Where new outlets are installed, or existing outlets relocated, the contractor shall provide test results. 1.3 Much of the work is reactive, therefore flexibility is essential.
