Description

Bradford Metropolitan District Council (BMDC) is looking to appoint a supplier and installer of pool covers for its swimming pools. The initial requirement is for four pool covers in three separate swimming pools. There will also be needed some mechanical winding mechanisms supplied and installed as part of this requirement. We would like proposals for ongoing service and maintenance of these new pool covers and also for our existing pool covers in our other pools. BMDC has 6 main swimming pools.

Renewal Options

It is anticipated that the contract will be for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend by one plus one periods of 12 months, subject to performance.

Award Criteria

Methodology Please provide full details how you will deliver the requirements outlined in Appendix 1 – Specification. This to include timings and access requirements to fit and commission the equipment and pool covers.
Service and Maintenance Please provide full details how you will deliver service and maintenance requirements for the installed pool covers and equipment for the contract period of 3 years. What is involved and timings of servicing.
Product Specifications Please provide full details of the product specifications for both the pool covers and equipment you are proposing. This to include guarantees, estimated life spans, material compositions, electrical requirements for the winding mechanisms and standards that the electrical components and pool covers meet.
Social Value - Environmental Benefits Please explain how your products/services and company operations provide environmental benefits to BMDC and the Bradford area.
Social Value - Good Jobs and Economic Benefit Please explain how your company provides social value in good jobs and economic benefits for the Bradford area through providing local employment, apprentices and paying the living wage.
Price The Bidder offering the lowest price will be awarded the maximum score of 40% The remaining bidders will be awarded a % score based on the difference between their score and the lowest bid The calculation is as follows: Lowest price / bidders price x 40% Scored - Overall Weighting: 40%
