Description

At the time of Contract Award: The Borough Council of Sandwell wishes to invite tender for the Provision of the School Health Nursing and Child Vision Screening Services. These are in two Lots and the we intend to award both Lots to ONE single provider. The Contract is initially for a three (3) years with the option to extend for two (2) additional years .

Legal Justification

A competitive process was undertaken in line with The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 using the Competitive Process. At the time of the tender deadline no submissions were received, and a decision was made to abandon the procurement. A decision was made to undergo an extension and variation, to increase the current contract value, for the extension period regarding Lot 1 - School Nursing Service. For Lot 2, Child Vision Screening, a decision was made to not extend the service beyond its initial term.

Other Information

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) contract modification notice, under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contract regulations do not apply. This contract has now been formally modified. This decision was made in line with internal Council processes and in line with PSR 2023.
