Legal Justification

The equipment is being customised and configured as a 'whole system' to the purchaser's specification to meet individual experimental site requirements The dendrometer at the core of the system is a proven product already in use in the organisation and in other European research organisations with whom the purchaser collaborates, and use of the same [compatible] equipment facilitates comparability of research results. That dendrometer is manufactured by the supplier and the supplier is uniquely positioned to be able to adapt and incorporate that product with other equipment to produce the system required.
