Description
Consumer Council for Northern Ireland is placing this voluntary transparency notice to alert economic operators of its intention to modify the value of this contract to facilitate additional development, support and maintenance of its website to continue to meet business needs in accordance with Regulation 72 (1) (b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. This transparency notice does not place any obligation on the Authority to enter into this modification.

Legal Justification
In order to perform additional website development, support & maintenance to meet business needs, Consumer Council for Northern Ireland require an increase to contract value to ensure continuity of service through to expiry of contract term. The Authority will be relying on Regulation 72(1)(b) Additional works, services or supplies “have become necessary” and were not included in the initial procurement, and a change of supplier would not be practicable (for economic, technical or interoperability and would involve substantial inconvenience/duplication of costs. This modification is for a total of £67,250 giving a revised contract value of £242,100.
