To provide a comprehensive service for adults registered with a Wirral GP who are experiencing hearing and communication difficulties who feel they might benefit from hearing assessment and rehabilitation including the option of trying hearing aids with aftercare and support.

Total Quantity or Scope

NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB have awarded a 1 year contract via Direct Award B to deliver Adult Hearing Service in Wirral. The contract started on 1st April 2025 and will expire 31st March 2026. This is a tariff based contract with no activity guaranteed and payment will be made based on activity undertaken. This is an existing service that has been awarded to an existing provider.

For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.

On the 20th May 2025 the Finance, Investment and Resources Committee of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB approved.
