Description
A comprehensive service for adults experiencing hearing and communication difficulties who feel they might benefit from hearing assessment and rehabilitation including the option of trying hearing aids with aftercare and support for patients registered with a GP in the commissioned Places within Cheshire and Merseyside.
Total Quantity or Scope
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB have awarded a 1 year contract via Direct Award B to deliver Adult Hearing Service across Cheshire and Merseyside. The contract started on 1st April 2025 and will expire 31st March 2026. This is a tariff based contract with no activity guaranteed and payment will be made based on activity undertaken. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. On the 20th May 2025 the Finance, Investment and Resources Committee of NHS Cheshire and Merseyside ICB approved this decision. One committee member raised a declaration of interest however the decision to award was made in line with the CMICB Conflict of Interest Policy.
